Falafel / Falafeel






INGREDIENTS:


  • White chick peas(channa) - 1 cup
  • Garlic chopped 3 cloves
  • Parsely leaves -1/4 cup
  • Coriander leaves -1/4 cup
  • Green chilli 1 chopped
  • Flour (maida) - 1 Tbsp
  • Baking soda  a pinch
  • Cumin seeds powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander power - 1/2 tsp
  • Black Pepper - 1tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for fry




METHOD:


Soak chickpeas for 8 to 10 hours, then drain and wash the chickpeas.


In a small grinder add chickpeas,garlic, coriander leaves,parsley, green chilli,flour (maida),baking soda,cumin powder,coriander power,black pepper ,salt  and grind to smooth paste, don’t add water.






Take out the mixture to the bowl and if you feel that the mixture is too dry just add 2 drops of water and make shape


Form into small or medium sized balls or patties.

Then fry in medium heat till light brown.




Drain falafel on kitchen tissues to remove excess oil.Serve hot with pita bread or serve as snack/starter with some sauce.

  • Garlic chopped 3 cloves
  • Parsel
  • Coriander leaves ½ cup
  • Green chilli 1 chopped
  • Flour (maida) 2 Tbsp
  • Baking soda  a pinch
  • Cumin seeds powder ½  tsp
  • Coriander power 1 tsp
  • Pepper powder ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for fry




METHOD:


Soak chickpeas for 10 to 15 hours, then drain and wash the chickpeas. Grind the chickpeas, don’t add water at all. You will get nice bread crumbs texture, keep aside.




In a small grinder add chickpeas,garlic, coriander leaves,parsley, green chilli and  , grind to smooth paste, don’t add water.





Take out the mixture to the bowl and add chick peas mixture,flour,cumin powder,coriander powder, baking soda, salt and pepper mix will,if you feel that the mixture is too dry just add 2 drops of water and make shape




Then fry in medium heat till light brown.
