Ingredients:
- Raw Rice - 1 cup
- Chicken - 250g
- Channa Dal - 3 tbsp
- Carrot - 1 small finely chopped
- Big Onion - 1 medium sized finely chopped
- Tomato - 1 medium sized roughly chopped
- Cinnamon - 1/2 inch piece
- Cloves - 2
- Cardamom - 2 whole
- Ginger Garlic paste - 2 tsp
- Green Chillies - 2
- Turmeric powder - a pinch
- Red Chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Garam Masala powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1.5 tsp
- Fennel Powder - 1 tsp
- Mint Leaves - 1 tbsp finely chopped
- Thick Coconut Milk - 1 cup
- Water - 4 to 5 cups
- Coriander Leaves - 1 tbsp finely chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 2 tsp
Method:
Soak rice and dal for 1/2 an hour. Break the soaked rice with your hands.
Heat oil in a pressure cooker add cloves,cardamom and cinamon.Then add onion and saute until it becomes transparent.
Add the chopped tomatoes.
Then add chicken,carrots along with all powders along required salt.Saute for 2 mins.
Add coriander leaves and mint leaves along with 4 to 5 cups of water.
Finally add coconut milk and cook for another 10 min .
Delicious chicken porridge is ready to serve.
