Cherry Custard Trifle / Fruit Trifle

Ingredients :
Serves : 2 to 4


Sponge Cake - as needed
Cherry - 10 chopped ( use any fruits you like)
Cherry for topping

For Cream:
Cream / Whip cream powder - 3 tblsp
Sugar - 1 tblspn
Vanilla Essence - 1/2 tsp

For Custard:
Custard Powder - 2.5 tblspn
Milk - 1/2 liter / 500 ml
Sugar - 4 tblspn
Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp


Take custard powder in a bowl. Add in 1/2 cup of milk and mix well. Set aside.

Heat milk and sugar in a sauce pan and bring it to a boil.

Add in custard mix and keep cooking till it gets thick.

Add in sugar and vanilla and mix well. 

Pour this into a bowl and cover with a plastic wrap, make sure the wrap touches the top of the custard so when it cools no crust forms on top. Chill this till use.

Whip cream with sugar and vanilla till thick. Set aside.

Take your serving glasses, fill the bottom with cake.

Spoon some custard above it.

Top with chopped cherries. 

Add whipped cream above it.

Now top again with cake pieces.

Top again with custard and Finish the top with cream and cherries over it.

Chill this for 3 to 4 hours. Serve chilled
