Ingredients:
- Mutton - 250 g
- Onion paste 2 medium size
- Ginger garlic paste -2 tbsp
- Tomato - 2 chopped
- Red chilli powder - 2 tsp / or to taste
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder -1/2 tsp
- Salt-t
o taste - Garam masala powder -1 tsp
- Coriander powder- 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves finely chopped - 2 tbsp for garnish
To grind into paste
- Coconut chopped - 1/4 cup
- Green chillies - 3-4
- Coriander leaves finely chopped -3 tbsp.
To fry in oil:
- Black pepper -4
- Red Chillies - 2
- Green cardamom -1
- Star Anise - little bit
- Cinnamon stick -1 inch
- Bay leaf - 1
Method:
Make a fine paste of coconut, green chilli and coriander leaves.
Heat on a pan and add oil .Throw in all the whole garam masala ingredients.Saute few seconds.
Add mutton pieces and fry it till it change its colour.
Now the color of mutton has changed.
Then add onion paste and cook for 2 minutes.
Add ginger and garlic paste cook until raw smell goes off..
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until it is fully mashed.
Add turmeric powder,coriander powder,red chilli powder,salt,turmeric powder,cumin powder and salt and mix well.
Add in coconut+green+chilli+coriander masala paste. cook for 5 min in medium flame.
Then add in water (around 1/2 cup) Close with lid and cook for 30-40 minutes in high flame.
Yummy Bhuna Gosht is ready to serve.Have it with chappathi, roti or naan.
