Ingredients:
- Bread slices - 5, cut into small pieces
- Onion - ⅓ cup, finely chopped
- Green chili -1, finely chopped
- Ginger paste - 1 ½ teaspoon
- Curry leaves - 5-6
- Cilantro -few sprigs, chopped finely
- salt - to taste
- Rice flour - ¼ cup
- Yogurt - ½ cup, Make sure not to add too much water part
- Oil - for deep frying
Instructions:
Cut the bread in to small pieces.
Mix all the ingredients except bread and rice flour..
To this add the bread pieces and rice flour.After a minute or so bread will absorb the yogurt and will become soft. So if you pinch a small portion together it will come together like ball. If not then add more yogurt and mix.
Heat the oil in a pan for deep frying on medium heat. Also line a plate with paper towel.While oil is heating shape the vadas. Grease your palms with oil and start shaping the vadas.
Once oil is hot, slide the vadai into the oil. fry them till it is golden brown and crispy from all the sides.
Using the slotted spoon drain the excess oil and remove it to a paper towel lined plate.
Serve hot or warm.
