Wheat Bhatura

  • 2 cup wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup refined flour (maida)
  • 2 tblsp suji
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dry active yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 3 to 4 tbsp plain curd
  • 3 tsp warm water Or as required
  • 1 tsp oil + 2 cup oil for deep frying bhaturas


Add 1 tsp yeast with 1 tblsp of water and sugar.Keep it aside for 10 min.

Mix wheat flour,suji,maida and salt..

Now add yoghurt to it. 

Add the yeast mixture and knead into a soft smooth dough for bhatura..

Cover the dough and leave that at warm place to rise.

 Now the dough has rised up. Divide the dough equally and make small balls of it.

Place one ball of dough and roll it into oval shape bhatura.

Roll the dough with rolling pin.

Heat oil in a frying pan on high heat …Then drop the rolled out bhatura  and fry it on both side to make it little brown.Take the bhatura out in a plate  and serve hot with your favourite gravy.
